Hello,
Everybuggy! Don’t let your summer fly by without catching the reading
bug. Enjoy a variety of exciting activities, storytimes,
reading
games, weekly prize drawings and more!

register in person at the library to receive your summer reading
program activity guide. Registration will continue through July.

Summer Reading Program Storytimes & Activities
* Important Tips for
Attending Storytimes & Activities *
- Youth summer reading program
storytimes and activities are intended for Northville residents and
recommended for children ages 2 – 12.
- Due to space limitations,
summer library activities cannot accommodate preschool groups, daycare
groups or day camps.
- Certain activities require
Free Tickets available ten minutes prior to daily events at the
Information Desk.
- Expect a waiting line for
tickets. Please understand shows may “sell out.”
- Tickets may not be reserved
in advance.
- A maximum of 4 tickets per
person.
Drop-In
Summer Storytimes
Fridays: June 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25
11:00 am – 11:30 am
Enjoy a lively storytime! Summer storytimes are best suited for
children ages 3 and older, but everyone is welcome. No ticket required,
just drop in! Due to space limitations, summer library activities
cannot accommodate preschool groups, daycare groups or day camps. The
full schedule of library storytimes resumes in September. The fall
season storytime schedule will be available in August. |

Creative Crafts
Children of all ages “drop in” to make a variety of creative crafts in
the library’s meeting room. Different craft projects featured for each
program. No ticket required. Due to space limitations, summer library
activities cannot accommodate preschool groups, daycare groups or day
camps.

to the library to be a part of Joel's “Juggle Bug Comedy
Show." Get ready for dazzling juggling, wacky stunts,

What’s the Buzz about Reading? Through lively songs a bookworm helps a
bee to discover the joys of reading. The audience (and lots of other

Farm Lady “Bugs for Lunch”

Meet Gertie the Guinea Hen and learn why she and children’s book
characters like the Grouchy Ladybug and Charlotte the Spider are the
farmer’s very good friends. The Farm Lady Margaret Schmidt will also
share fun farm facts and stories. Children of all ages welcome. Due to

Get buggy for books! Listen or read books to earn great prizes. This
reading game is recommended for children preschool through 2nd grade,
but younger children may also participate.

@ The Library Summer Reading Program to receive your summer reading
activity guide featuring the Buggy for Books
reading game.
2. Complete the Buggy
for Books reading game at your own pace. When you

Book Buzz
3rd – 6th Grade Reading Game
Buzz through books and earn fun prizes! This reading game is
recommended for 3rd – 6th graders, but younger children reading at an
advanced level may also participate.

Weekly Prize Drawings

Read
and enter weekly prize drawing to win prizes! Entering is easy, simply
complete a Book Report Form – kids can enter as many times as they
like, but may only win once for the summer – and place it in the
drawing box at the library’s Information Desk. Book report forms are
available at the Information Desk, or to download from the link below.
Book reports are due by noon each Monday during the summer reading
program. Winners are drawn and contacted later in the day.
