The Biography Resource Center (BioRC) is a comprehensive database of
biographical information on over 340,000 people from throughout
history, around the world, and across all disciplines and subject
areas. BioRC is designed to provide quick and easy access to this vast
array of information, thereby meeting a wide range of information needs.

This database is designed for older students and adults, but also

full-text news archives dating back to 1940. Use the .What

Ferguson's Career Guidance Center offers detailed and up-to-date
descriptions of more than 2,800 of the most popular jobs in 93
industries, as well as more than 23,000 resources (many with Web
addresses, when applicable), to help you select, plan, and advance your

Junior Edition (Middle School)
This periodical database is designed for students in junior high and

MOIS
MOIS is the Michigan Occupation Information System, designed to help
match your strengths to a career. The database is arranged
into a
four-step career development model: self-assessment, exploration (with
detailed career profiles), decision making, and career
planning. MOIS is available only on CD-ROM at the
library using our Public Internet or Adaptive Feature Workstations
located on the lower level.
