Computer Classes and Training
The library offers free computer classes and free one-on-one tutoring to assist patrons wishing to improve their computer skills. Tutoring is offered once a month on a Saturday morning during the school year, and two Saturdays during the summer. Patrons must know how to use a computer mouse.
All classes and tutoring require pre-registration. Please register in person at the Information Desk on the main level or call 248-349-3020.

Learn the basics of how to find information on the Internet in this two-hour, hands on class using laptops and a computer mouse. Class content includes: how to view a webpage, how to search the Internet using a website OR using a search engine like Google or Yahoo, definitions of basic computer terms, and toolbar options.

Internet Searching Shortcuts |

This class is for patrons who have taken the Basics class, or would like some additional help to successfully search the Internet. Learn how to find images, get directions or maps, and find financial, health and travel information.

Saturday Computer Tutoring |

Free, one-on-one tutoring sessions with a teen volunteer. Bring your questions about email, searching the Internet, Word, Power Point and basic Excel. Tutoring is available from 10 am – 11 am, or 11 am - Noon on selected Saturdays throughout the year.
