The Book Cellar
The Book Cellar is open on Mondays from 11am to 5pm and 6:30 to 8:30pm AND on Sundays from 1:30pm to 4pm!

NDL Friends
Weekly Book Sale Friends of the Northville District Library invite members and the public to visit "The Book Cellar" our used book store located in the library every Sunday from 1:30pm to 4pm and on Monday from 11am to 5pm and 6:30pm to 8:30pm! Most hardcover books cost $1.00 and paperbacks $0.50.
 

The Friends of the Northville District Library raise funds for the library to enhance services and collections, and support active programs.  Fund-raising projects include weekly and the annual Used Book Sales as well as the Book & Author Luncheon, sponsored with other local Friends groups.

JOIN OR RENEW YOUR FRIENDS MEMBERSHIP
This is a good time to renew your Friends of the Northville District Library membership. If you haven't yet joined the Friends, now is the time. Your dues help to support the library. Members' dues are the biggest source of income for the Friends. By doing something as simple as becoming a member, you add value to your community library, and remember: Your Friends' membership is tax-deductible.

More than $300,000 has been raised since 1992 to support the following library programs and services:

• Free Wireless Internet Access
• Summer Reading Program
• Books on Tape and CDs
• DVD Collection
• Children's area puppets, puppet theatre, puzzles and books
• Improvement in lighting and internet connections on the lower level of the library
• Shelving, artwork and fixtures
• Reference books and videos
• Fiction and non-fiction books
• Successful gift shop that raises funds for the library


Volunteer Opportunities
Though not required, members can choose to help in a variety of ways, such as:
· Assist with Selling Used Books
· Work in the Friends Store
· Help with mailings and public relations
· Assist with the Northville Record Indexing project
· Help with Youth Summer Reading programs
The Friends of the Northville Library are looking for people interested in serving on the Friends Board of Directors. Directors attend monthly meetings, work on comittees such as Program, Summer Reading, Book sales, Fundraising. To submit your name, contact the Library at (248)349-3020
